As a teenager, he was passionate about cinema, science fiction, animation, comics, drawing, painting, photography, and the Commodore 64.
In 1990 - shortly after he turned 18 - Riccardo, along with three other friends, an Apple Macintosh, and a dream of making films using animation and digital visual effects, founded a small company. Soon what was just a game turned into serious work and Frame by Frame became one of the most popular computergraphics and post-production companies in Italy. Four people turned into forty. Riccardo became the company's artistic director.
For thirteen years, Riccardo and FBF grew together. In 1996, Riccardo took his first steps as a director, directing experimental short films and music videos.
1998 Director of many idents and programs for Studio Universal tv channel, winning several prizes at international festivals.
2000 Director of Romalive, a daily Mtv show.
2001 Director of several shorts and clips of the Jack Folla - Alcatraz, produced by RAI, Italian broadcasting network.
2002 Director of several promotional films for television channels, including: Sky, Fox, Cult, and Orbit.
2003 Leaves Frame by frame to dedicate himself to his work as a director.
2004- 2005 Works as a director exclusively for Colorado film, Gabriele Salvatores production company
2005 Debuts as a director of television commercials. Brands include: Carlsberg beer, Bayer, Nissan, Chrysler, Disney Channel, Fiat- Lancia, Banca Intesa, HSBC, Wind, Interflora, Corriere della sera, Comune di Roma, Bose sound systems, De'Longhi, Manetti & Roberts, Enciclopedia Treccani, Poste Italiane, Anas, McDonald's, Kinder Ferrero, Sky etc.
2008 Director of eight episodes of "La Linea D'Ombra," a docu-drama about famous serial killers, produced by RAI.
